Ballindalloch: elegant and refined whisky for 24 generations

Time, traditional methods and zero-mile barley are the three ingredients that make the whiskies of the small Scottish distillery Ballindalloch, distributed in our country exclusively by Proposta Spirits, unique.
Nestled in Speyside, Ballindalloch is located on the estate of the same name where the Macpherson-Grant family has resided since 1546. A centuries-old history that has been intertwined with the world of distillation since 1820, the year in which the first distillery was founded in Delnashaugh, followed in 1869 by the foundation of the Cragganmore distillery by Sir George Macpherson-Grant with John Smith and finally the creation of the Speyside Distillery in Kingussie in 1896 (which saw Sir George Macpherson-Grant himself at the forefront).

In 2014, the start-up of the new distillery marked a return to the family passion, that of whisky, with the 24th generation Macpherson-Grant committed to producing elegant and refined single malts, whose uniqueness is due to the quality of the ingredients and a single-estate production process based on slow rhythms and traditional methods. Ballindalloch whiskies are in fact made using only barley grown on the estate and spring water flowing through the property: a zero-kilometre product obtained using systems dating back to the 19th century such as vapour cooling through wooden worm tube condensers that give the spirit a finer, more elegant profile.

The decision to produce in single-estate mode gives Ballindalloch whiskies an authentic, artisanal and unique character that can be found in the three references available for the Italian market, in limited quantities, including two single casks bottled especially for our country at full strength.
